Deep Neck Lift In Las Vegas, NV

A smooth, contoured neck is seen as a sign of youth—and when aging or weight loss causes the neck skin to sag, you’re left with a frustrating sign of age that is hard to hide. A neck lift is a specialized cosmetic procedure that targets loose skin, excess pockets of fat, and sagging muscles and glands to contour the neck for a youthful result.

Dr. Mehdi Sina is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in facial rejuvenation and enhancement. Under Dr. Sina’s ethical care, patients receive safe and beautiful neck lift results that boost confidence.

What Are the Benefits of a Deep Neck Lift?

As we age, the skin loses elasticity and, paired with gradually weakened neck muscles and photic glands, can result in loose and sagging skin and tissues. A deep neck lift targets these areas to rejuvenate the neck for a more youthful result. Benefits of a deep neck lift include:

  • A more sculpted jawline
  • A contoured neck
  • Eliminated neck bands
  • Eliminated excess neck skin and neck heaviness
  • Tightened neck muscles and underlying tissues

How Much Does a Deep Neck Lift Cost in Las Vegas?

The cost of a neck lift in Las Vegas varies, depending on the specifics of your surgical plan. One of the factors that determines the overall cost of surgery is the time required for the procedure (the surgical facility and anesthesiologists bill by time). Therefore, patients requiring more extensive surgery due to their case-specific needs will have a slightly higher cost of surgery. Additional factors include adding other procedures and the expertise of your surgeon.

More experienced and in-demand facial plastic surgery specialists command higher prices for a few reasons: they provide better, more reliable results than general plastic surgeons or those who are less practiced, they offer a more luxurious experience, and there is a greatly reduced risk of a botched surgical result. You pay for high-end treatment, great results, and peace of mind.

Once you meet with Dr. Sina for your deep neck lift consultation, he will provide you with an accurate cost estimate.

Am I a Candidate for a Deep Neck Lift?

A neck lift is a specialized procedure that targets loose skin, muscles, and glands in the region below the jaw—a deep plane facelift, on the other hand, targets facial aging from the mid-face to the neck. Neck lifts are ideal for patients who only have concerns about the aging neck.

If you have excess neck laxity or heaviness that makes you look older than you are, you may be a candidate for neck lift surgery. Candidates often include post-weight loss patients who are left with excess skin and fat distribution after rapid weight loss. Additionally, candidates for a neck lift:

  • Have excess skin and/or fat deposits on the neck
  • Have neck banding
  • Have a poorly defined jawline
  • Have droopy glands
  • Have realistic expectations for results
  • Are nonsmokers or are willing to quit

What Are My Neck Lift Options?

Dr. Sina will recommend the treatment option that is best for you, your goals, and your anatomy. He may recommend one of the following neck lift techniques.

Cervicoplasty

This technique requires very small incisions and is recommended for patients with minor concerns. Cervicoplasty removes excess skin from the neck.

Platysmaplasty

Platysmaplasty focuses on the sheet of muscle that lies across the neck, called the platysma. As you age, the platysma weakens and begins to sag, causing vertical neck bands. When the sagging is concentrated toward the center of the neck, patients experience a “turkey neck.” Platysmaplasty counters these issues, as Dr. Sina is able to reposition and tighten the platysma muscle.

Liposuction

In some cases, liposuction is included in the neck lift procedure. This can be in addition to cervicoplasty or platysmaplasty and is ideal for patients exhibiting excess fat pockets under the chin (submental fat), also known as a double chin.

Deep Neck Lift

A deep neck lift is the most comprehensive treatment for advanced aging neck patients. It addresses multiple levels of the neck, including loose skin and muscle, fat deposits, muscle hypertrophy, and droopy glands.

Why Choose Dr. Sina for a Neck Lift?

It’s important to choose an experienced facial plastic surgery specialist for your neck lift, as botched results can cause the neck to look even more aged than before and pose a challenge to fix down the road.

Dr. Mehdi Sina is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABO) – Head and Neck Surgery and is a fellowship-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in facial rejuvenation and enhancement. Dr. Sina pairs surgical expertise and precision with scrupulous patient care and honesty—he will give you a crystal clear idea of what you can expect from this procedure and its results so you can move forward with confidence.

How Is a Neck Lift Performed?

Your Consultation

Your consultation with Dr. Sina is an important step in the surgical process, especially because neck lift candidacy is more selective than other procedures. Because facelifts generally include treatment of the neck, Dr. Sina will use this time to examine your neck and face and help you determine which procedure is best for you.

If he recommends a neck lift alone, he will discuss the risks and benefits of this procedure, as well as give you a realistic idea of the results you can expect. If you agree this is the route you want to take, he will create a custom treatment plan for you and provide you with an accurate cost estimate.

The Neck Lift Procedure

Your neck lift may be performed using general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, depending on your preferences and the type of technique used. Each procedure will vary depending on the needs of the patient, but a general neck lift procedure may look like the following.

Neck lift procedure steps:

  • Dr. Sina will begin by carefully and precisely marking and making an incision according to the technique used: an incision is always necessary in the chin crease, and in certain instances, an incision is made behind the ear and along the posterior hairline.
  • He will then tighten and realign the platysma muscle, remove excess skin, address the deep neck muscles and glands as needed, and/or use liposuction to remove excess pockets of fat.
  • Once Dr. Sina is satisfied with the results, he will carefully close the incisions.

What Is Neck Lift Recovery Like?

Immediately after your neck lift, expect some bruising, swelling, and minor discomfort that will naturally fade with time and rest. Dr. Sina will provide you with aftercare instructions; be sure to follow these as best you can. He may recommend the following:

  • Take all medications as prescribed
  • Limit moving your neck and protect the surgical site
  • Use pillows to keep your neck elevated to reduce swelling

Most neck lift patients can return to work after one week, with full healing taking several weeks. Patients can gradually incorporate more movement and exercise into their routines, usually around week three, but always adhere to Dr. Sina’s instructions.

When Will I See My Neck Lift Results?

Neck lift results are immediately visible, but as with any surgical procedure, there will be bruising and swelling that will require time to resolve. As you heal, you’ll continue to see improvements in the contours of your jawline and neck, the elimination of loose and redundant skin, and neck banding.
